PRESS RELEASE:  Mansa-X Special Funds Surpass USD 1Billion in Assets Under Management

[Nairobi, Kenya – 4 February 2026]

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansa-X Special Funds, managed under Standard Investment Trust Funds, have surpassed USD 1Billion in Assets Under Management (AUM), marking a significant milestone for Kenya’s largest special Collective Investment Scheme (CIS) and one the most diversified and investor-focused fund offerings in the region.

The milestone indicates robust inflows across the four Mansa-X Special Fund variants, structured to meet diverse investor needs. Mansa-X Special Funds are offered in both conventional and Shariah-compliant formats, each available in Kenya Shilling (KES) and US Dollar (USD) options, providing flexibility for local, regional, and international investors.

A major factor supporting AUM growth has been strong underlying performance. In 2025, Mansa-X delivered its highest returns since inception, with Mansa-X Special Fund – KES delivering average net returns of 20.74% while Mansa-X Special Fund –  USD delivered 13.37%, net. Similarly, Mansa-X Shariah Special Fund – KES delivered 17.25% average net returns in 2025 while Mansa-X Shariah Special Fund – USD delivered 11.64%, net.

In addition to strong returns, the Funds’ growth has also been reinforced by disciplined portfolio construction, active management, and a long-term focus on risk-adjusted returns amid evolving market conditions.  Providing KES and USD options has further enhanced accessibility for investors seeking currency diversification.

Commenting on the announcement, FA Nahashon Mungai, Executive Director – Global Markets at Standard Investment Bank, said, “Surpassing USD 1Billion AUM reflects the trust investors have placed in us. We remain focused on delivering resilient, long-term value to all our clients.”

As the Fund continues to grow, SIB reaffirms its commitment to transparency, regulatory compliance, and improving operational efficiency.
