Registered as Standard Stocks LTD. on 7 Feb 1995 with a staff of 5; we were licensed as stock brokers. Our first offices were in Rehani House, Koinange Street.
We were licensed as an Investment Bank. Moved offices to Hazina Towers, Utalii Lane.
We advised on the KenGen Rights Offer, valued at KES 28 Bn - the largest ever transaction of its kind in Kenya.
We were licensed as the first Money Manager in Kenya by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA), trading as Mansa-X, a global multi-asset strategy fund.
We launched Mansa-X Fund - USD, targeting investors in the diaspora and those with USD receivables.
We launched SIB Najah, our Islamic Investment Banking division. Alongside it, we also launched Mansa-X Shariah Fund, SIB Najah’s flagship product, offered in KES & USD denominations.
We were licensed by the Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA) to manage retirement savings in Kenya.
We partnered with CPF Financial Services as the Fund Manager for Taifa Pension Fund.
We partnered with Safaricom PLC as Fund Manager for Ziidi Money Market Fund.
We opened our first regional office in Mombasa, on 1st Floor of Nyali Centre.
SIB’s commitment to innovation has redefined the financial landscape. We proudly manage Kenya’s largest special collective investment scheme, the Mansa-X Special Fund, which has achieved an impressive KES 55 Bn in assets under management and delivered average net returns of 17.72% p.a. since 2019.
The returns I get from Mansa-X are a passive source of income. Whatever I earn at the end of a quarter is distributed over the next few months until the next quarter’s returns are declared.
Before investing in Mansa-X, I had almost given up investing in Kenya because of challenges such as poor management and poor returns. I haven’t experienced these challenges with Mansa-X.
What’s exciting to me about the Mansa-X Fund is the breadth and depth of its portfolio. The risks are hedged quite well and this gives me confidence.
