[27 Feb 2025; Mombasa Kenya] FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Standard Investment Bank (SIB), one of Kenya’s foremost indigenous investment banks, has opened its first regional branch in Mombasa, Kenya. This expansion marks another major milestone for SIB, as the bank marks its 30th anniversary this year. The new office, located on the 1st floor of Nyali Centre – Links Road, will bring exceptional investment banking and wealth management services closer to residents and businesses in the region. By establishing a local presence, SIB aims to provide greater accessibility, personalized financial solutions, and enhanced support to clients.

“As we celebrate 30 years in the industry, we recognize our clients’ growing demand for investment banking services outside Nairobi,” said Nickay Wangunyu, Executive Director for Strategy & Operations at Standard Investment Bank. “The rising interest in global financial instruments, particularly through the Mansa-X Special Fund has motivated us to expand and refine our offerings. As we continue to innovate and deepen our client partnerships, we remain committed to broadening our reach across Kenya and the wider East African region,” he added. The expansion aligns with the bank’s long-term vision of delivering world-class financial services to key markets while reinforcing its role as a trusted financial partner.

The Mombasa branch will offer SIB’s full suite of investment solutions, empowering individuals and businesses with the tools they need to succeed.
