EQUITY MARKET COMMENTARY<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The market closed the week in the green, with the NASI and N10 advancing by 1.7%w\/w. In addition, the NSE 20 and NSE 25 rose by 1.3% w\/w and 1.4% w\/w, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Market activity eased by 29.2% w\/w to USD 10.2m. Equity Group dominated market activity, accounting for 15.1% of the week\u2019s turnover. The counter\u2019s price function strengthened by 4.4% w\/w to KES 44.95, closing as the week\u2019s bestperforming mover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safaricom, KenGen and Stanbic inched upwards by 2.2% w\/w, 1.0% w\/w and 0.2% w\/w to KES 21.05, KES 5.00 and KES 153.00, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conversely, Liberty Kenya tapered by 1.3% w\/w to KES 11.40 to close as the week\u2019s worst-performing mover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foreign investors were bearish, with net outflows of USD 763.8k. EABL led the buying charge, while Equity Group led the selling charge. Foreign investor participation edged downwards to 20.4% from 39.0% in the prior week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expected in the week<\/strong>: 14th June 2025 \u2013 Liberty Kenya\u2019s KES 0.60 special dividend and KES 1.00 final dividend book closure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
